HHS Issues Model of Notices of Privacy Practices in Spanish

Mental Health Service Expansion Opportunity

HRSA has announced a Mental Health Service Expansion opportunity - a competitive grant to improve and expand the delivery of behavioral health services through the establishment/enhancement of an integrated primary care/behavioral health model at existing health centers. HRSA anticipates awarding $50 million to support 200 grant awards of $250,000 each to current Health Center Program grantees in Fiscal Year 2014. New Hurricane Clinic Under Construction

Construction for the new Family Healthcare clinic in Hurricane is under way with an expected completion date scheduled for March. Services may be available at the facility by July 1. The 3,300-square foot facility was initially scheduled to open earlier in the year, but the clinic first must hire the staff necessary to work at the facility, said Nancy Neff, Family Healthcare CEO. AUCH has partnered with OPTUM for a comprehensive ICD-10 training program beginning later this month. ICD-9 coding will end on October 1, 2014 and all payers will only accept ICD-10 codes after this date.
