Writing and implementing Cancer Evidence-Based Policies
Overview:
Health Center organizations can earn up to $3,000 by completing cancer-specific quality improvement activities during 2018. AUCH, American Cancer Society (ACS), and the Utah Department of Health (UDOH) Cancer Control Programs will provide on- and off-site training and technical assistance throughout the year. The funds from this project are to be used towards sending a two-person, quality improvement/clinical team to the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Forum, December 2018 in Orlando, Florida.
All activities must be completed and submitted to AUCH by December 31, 2018
Review activities and required evidence here.
Goals:
- Improve the rates of cancer screenings and prevention measures (breast, cervical, and colorectal screenings, and HPV immunizations).
- Improve internal policies and procedures to ensure all patients receive the recommended cancer screenings for their age and risk factors.
- Improve external partnerships to support health centers in conducting screenings and follow-up.
