The recognition program is the longest standing of its kind in Idaho.

Mindy Benedetti, CEO of Health West, has been honored with the prestigious 65th Idaho Business Leader of the Year (IBLOY) award for her outstanding leadership and transformative impact on Health West and the community.

Health West has transformed from a small community clinic into a multi-state, federally funded nonprofit health center known for its high-quality, patient-centered healthcare. Serving Southeast Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming, Health West operates 18 clinics and provides comprehensive services, including primary care, dental care, behavioral health, pediatrics, and pharmacy services.

Mindy’s journey at Health West began as an intern while attending Idaho State University. Over the years, her exceptional work ethic, can-do attitude, and commitment to improving healthcare access led her to become the Chief Executive Officer. In her role, Mindy oversees a team of dedicated professionals, including medical providers, behavioral health experts, and administrative staff, all working together to provide essential care to underserved communities.

Mindy’s leadership extends beyond Health West’s clinical services. She has forged strong partnerships with Idaho State University and other academic institutions, such as the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine, to provide training for future healthcare professionals. Through these collaborations, Health West hosts a variety of different students including those from medical, nursing, and healthcare management programs.

Mindy has also been instrumental in expanding Health West’s behavioral health services, particularly through a growing partnership with School District 25. Health West now provides in-school behavioral health services to students across Pocatello and Chubbuck. With providers in 11 schools, the program will soon expand to 13 schools, offering critical support to students dealing with challenges such as bullying, depression, and family trauma.

Health West continues to operate under Mindy’s leadership with a commitment to providing accessible, affordable healthcare to all individuals, regardless of their ability to pay. Health West’s growth, combined with Mindy’s unwavering focus on improving patient care and expanding services, has solidified the organization as a leader in the healthcare sector.
