Position Summary

The Community Outreach Coordinator supports the organization by identifying, attending, and representing programs at community resource fairs, job fairs, schools, and related events. This role helps connect individuals with services and opportunities while strengthening community relationships. The VISTA will build administrative capacity and sustainable funding pathways.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and track upcoming community events, resource fairs, and career fairs.
  • Attend events as an organizational representative and engage community members.
  • Organize and facilitate informational sessions and workshops.
  • Share information about available services, programs, and opportunities.
  • Build positive relationships with local partners, agencies, schools, and community groups.
  • Collect basic event data and community feedback to share with internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bilingual Candidates Preferred
  • Experience in outreach, customer service, public health, workforce development, or social services preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfortable speaking with diverse audiences in public settings.
  • Experience planning and coordinating events.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel to events within the region. (Salt Lake, Davis, Weber, Tooele, etc)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products – Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, etc.

Requirements

  • 1 year commitment
  • 40 hours/week
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Living Stipend: $2,080 monthly
  • Successfully complete a background check
