Overview: Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an evidence-based training teaching how to identify, understand, and respond to mental health challenges. Mental Health First Aid is an in person learning workshop split over two days. This evidence-based course is designed for community members, paraprofessionals, clergy- anyone interested in supporting a person who might be experiencing a mental health problem or crisis. The skills you learn will help you feel more prepared to help a person who might be experiencing common mental health concerns such as a mood disorder, psychosis, thoughts of suicide, self-harm, or substance abuse. Learn how to be a caring and responsive friend or family member and assist another on their path to recovery.
