Trauma Informed Care Webinar

Description: This webinar will focus on the impact of working with marginalized and traumatized populations, with specific focus on burnout, vicarious trauma, and compassion fatigue. We will explore the importance of addressing the impact of the work at the staff and organizational level, and identify potential challenges to doing so. Learning objectives are as follows: 1) Identify signs and symptoms of burnout, vicarious trauma, and compassion fatigue; 2) Identify and understand causes and predictors of burnout, vicarious trauma, and compassion fatigue; 3) Understand a range of measures individual staff members, managers, and organizations as a whole can take to prevent and address burnout, vicarious trauma, and compassion fatigue; 4) Understand vicarious resilience and compassion satisfaction; 5) Identify areas of strength and growing edges when it comes to addressing the impact of the work on oneself personally, and within one’s organization.
