CHAMPS 2014 Immunization Update Teleconference


Presenter: Donna Weaver, RN, MN, Nurse Educator, National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention


Teleconference Overview: The presentation will include an update on vaccine-preventable diseases, immunization recommendations from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) with highlights of recent changes in recommendations, and resources to assist health centers with providing appropriate and safe vaccines to their patients. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.


Target Audience: Those involved with immunization delivery including physicians, PAs, NPs, nurses, medical assistants, and other interested health professionals.


CME Credit:  1.25 hours of prescribed Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit will be provided; determination of credit by American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) is pending.


Cost: The teleconference, including CME credit, is FREE to staff of all Region VIII health centers (Health Center Program Grantees and FQHC Look-Alikes) and Primary Care Associations (PCAs). A $25 charge applies to all other participants which will cover the phone line and CME credit for each individual.
