OVERVIEW:
Review of current issues regarding care for Long COVID patients in Utah.

PRESENTERS:
Jeanette Brown, MD, Ph.D., Associate Professor Pulmonary and Critical Care.
 Given her background in multidisciplinary clinics, she was involved in the building of the Comprehensive COVID Clinic at the University of Utah and is the medical director of the clinic. The clinic goals include providing clinical care to patients who have symptoms from COVID19 (severe and long COVID), helps to facilitate research and further educate other clinicians about how to care for these patients.

Rachel Kubiak, Ph.D., is currently working as a Senior Epidemiologist at CDC Foundation in the USA and is based at the Utah Department of Health and Human Services.

Lucinda Bateman, MD, Medical Director, Bateman Horne Center. Dr. Bateman attended the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and practiced as a general internist in Salt Lake City for 10 years before she started a Fatigue Consultation Clinic in 2000.  In 2015 she founded the Bateman Horne Center (BHC), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission to improve the lives of people with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), fibromyalgia, post-viral illness, and related conditions through clinical care, education, and research.  Providers at BHC have evaluated and treated more than 100 Long COVID patients in clinic and enrolled many in research.
