SESSION 1: Reducing Cycle Time and the ROI of an RN in the Clinic

WHEN: October 20, 2021, Noon-1:00pm MST

ATTENDANCE OPTIONS:
Virtual: Zoom (link is provided upon registration)

SESSION OVERVIEW: The value of the registered nurse in primary care is three-fold: to the patient, the provider, and the practice. This session, led by Faith Jones RN, will discuss how a registered nurse in your clinic can improve patient outcomes and reduce provider burnout. This occurs through the use of true team-based care where the registered nurse provides services that are “Incident to” or under the “Direct Supervision” of a provider. These terms mean that the provider must be immediately available (although not in the room) to furnish assistance and direction throughout the performance of the procedure or encounter. This allows registered nurses to provide services associated with certain encounter types including: The Annual Wellness Visit, Chronic Care Management, Transitional Care Management and Advanced Care Planning.
