AGENDA

WHEN: January 13, 2021, 7:30am - 9:00am

WHERE: Virtual (Zoom link will be made available upon registration)

TARGET AUDIENCE: Health center board members and quality improvement staff

OVERVIEW: In an effort to improve the experience of Utah’s children in the care they receive at Intermountain Healthcare and Primary Children’s Hospital (Primary Children's), AUCH is hosting a virtual listening session to discuss ways to improve care for health center pediatric patients and their parents.

During this event, health center participants will have the opportunity to provide feedback to Primary Children's and Intermountain leadership staff on the five questions listed below. Leadership staff will include Dr. Neal Davis, Medical Director for Intermountain Medical Group’s Central Salt Lake Region, and his team.

1. How well are Primary Children’s and specialty services communicating with you on clinical care?

2. Many families experience barriers in accessing care at Primary Children’s Hospital and specialty services. What barriers do you see for the families from your clinic?

3. Disparities in health by race and ethnicity occur for children in our community. What can Primary Children’s teams, specialty teams, and community health teams do to support these efforts?

4. If Primary Children's gets support for materials to be used for the Reach Out and Read Program, how could these be helpful at your clinic?

5. How can Primary Children's support efforts at your clinic to enroll children into Medicaid or CHIP?

Health center staff are welcome to attend the entire event or log on for the question(s) applicable to their role
