As part of their strategic orientation, smart business leaders know that HR's effectiveness and importance can be demonstrated and communicated in quantitative terms.  In this two part series, we'll discuss several important measures of HR initiatives in your organization.  But beyond the numbers, you’ll learn the context of what you are measuring and the results and changes over time. Is 20% good?  It depends on your industry and what others are experiencing. It also depends on whether you're losing key staff or have successfully upgraded your staff and helped usher out employees who weren't a good fit.  Knowing what and how to measure depends on the focus of your organization and your goals to become more successful.  We'll cover 10 of the most frequently used metrics in strategic HR and discuss what actionable information you can glean from those numbers.
