TRAINING OVERVIEW: Integrated care is a general term for any attempt to blend behavioral health services, fully or partially, with medical services. Over the past decade, the integration of behavioral health and medical services has been shown to improve patient outcomes, save money, and reduce stigma related to mental health. Across the country, primary care practices and behavioral health clinics are creating integrated models to address patient needs in a thoughtful and holistic way, empowering both patients and staff to engage in whole-person care. Because the process of integrating and partnering for whole-person care can be complex, a skilled care team is needed.

The Integrated Care Coordination Training Series Kick-Off Event will provide a detailed explanation of integrated models of care; the opportunity to explore real-life case studies; and foundational information and practical skills necessary to offer integrated care and provide better, more efficient patient care.

Participants will:

  • Gain valuable insight to the steps of implementation
  • Examine workflows
  • Boost Interdisciplinary teamwork
  • Strengthen assessment, intervention, and consultation skills critical to integrated care
