Comprehensive Workforce Planning: Recruitment & Retention

Overview: AUCH is partnering with the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved (ACU) and Ann Hogan Consulting LLC, to launch a Comprehensive Workforce Planning training with subsequent workshops. The goal of this project is to develop and implement a comprehensive workforce plan for each organization to optimize recruitment and retention plans for the future and current workforce. Topics covered in the initial training will include recruitment and retention plan tools and strategies, operational assessment, strategic planning, and the core components of a comprehensive workforce plan. A Workforce workgroup will then begin meeting the third Wednesday of every month (April-September) to develop and implement a comprehensive workforce plan for each organization.

Time: March 23, 2021, noon Mountain Time (US and Canada)

Target Audience: Financial Directors, Operations, Board of Directors, and Quality Improvement

Speaker Bio: 

Suzanne Speer headshot

Suzanne Speer joined ACU in 2017 and serves as Senior Director of Workforce Development. In this role, she oversees ACU’s National Training and Technical Assistance Partner, the STAR2 Center. She works directly with community health centers, state Primary Care Associations, and other National Cooperative Agreements across the nation, addressing important issues related to workforce. She has worked with community health centers for over seven years, first by recruiting providers at the Virginia Community Healthcare Association. She received a Bachelor of Science from Virginia Commonwealth University.
