The Behavioral Health Consultant works as part of PCMH Team delivering services designed to improve outcomes for the patients served by Carbon Medical Service Assn’s. Inc.’s Clinic in East Carbon and the Helper Clinic. The Behavioral Health Consultant provides consultation services to patients and primary care providers, designs and implements population-based care programs that target patients with specific behavioral health conditions (e.g., depression, obesity, addiction), and provides educational programs to improve primary care provider skill, effectiveness, and satisfaction in treating patients with behavioral health conditions.

1. Graduation from an accredited school in clinical social work, counseling, mental health therapy,
psychology, or Ph.D. in psychology. Including training in individual, family and group therapy; crisis intervention; intermediate treatment and long term treatment, behavioral psychology, motivational interviewing, and health psychology.
2. Must have a current license in the State of Utah.
3. Must have a strong community health/public health orientation in a rural setting.
4. Sufficient experience and privileged to carry out the duties of this position.

Full Time 


This position is compensated at Grade 10 of the organization’s approved Salary Scale. The specific salary is negotiated between the individual and the Executive Director using the approved salary scale of the organization as a basis.
